Graduation Requirements
Academic Standards
Students must successfully demonstrate proficiency in knowledge and application
of planned courses that adhere to the Chapter 4 regulations. In addition, each
student must have attained the required number of credits to graduate.
To qualify for a diploma from East Stroudsburg Area High Schools, all grade
12 students must accumulate a minimum of 26.0 credits. Course requirements
are described below. Students must complete the following minimum subject
- 4.0 English
- 4.0 Mathematics
- 3.0 Science*
- 4.0 Social Studies*
- 1.0 Physical Education
- .75 Health
- .25 Drivers Education
- 2.0 Humanities
- 1.0 Computer Literacy Credit
- .5 Family & Consumer Science approved course
- 5.5 Elective
*Monroe Career & Technical Institute (MCTI) students involved in select career pathways may be subject to other requirements.
All students must also meet Act 158 requirements for graduation, which are directly related to the Keystone Exams for Algebra, Literature and Biology. For more information on how to meet those requirements, please review the document below.
